So it seems that current Connecticut Governor Jodi Rell won’t be seeking another term. This is good news for, among others, Ned Lamont supporters. It’s also rather serendipitous for Lamont as he just announced his candidacy. Chris Cilizza at The Fix says this race will be a good chance for Democrats to retake the statehouse. Too bad for Sen. Chris Dodd that Demcorat popularity isn’t strong enough to give him an easy reelection campaign. It’s looking like Dodd is in serious trouble.

Anyway, I’ll be keeping my eye on this race as it develops. I’ve got to admit, it’d be nice to see Lamont as governor.
